FMCG HQ (“we,” “us,” or “FMCG HQ”) operates fmcghq.com and the private beta platform we're building with cohort one founding brands. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, what we share, and your rights. We're a startup — this is short on purpose.
What we collect
We collect two kinds of information:
- Information you give us — when you apply for the beta, subscribe to the newsletter, or contact us. This typically includes name, email, company name, role, and whatever you write in the application or message body.
- Information collected automatically — when you browse fmcghq.com we log basic technical information (IP address, user agent, pages viewed, referrer) for analytics and abuse prevention. We use a privacy-respecting analytics provider that does not set cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To review beta applications and contact applicants.
- To send the FMCG HQ field log (newsletter) — only if you subscribed. Unsubscribe is one click.
- To respond to inquiries you send via the contact form.
- To understand how the site is used in aggregate (page traffic, popular content) and improve it.
- To prevent abuse (e.g., bot signups, scraping).
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models.
Who we share it with
We use a small set of service providers to run the website and process forms:
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, security.
- Brevo — newsletter and transactional email delivery, beta application capture.
- Plausible (or equivalent) — privacy-respecting analytics.
Each is bound by its own privacy and data-processing terms. We only share what the service strictly needs to do its job.
How long we keep it
Beta applications and contact submissions are kept as long as the relationship is active, plus a short archival period. Newsletter subscribers are kept until you unsubscribe. Aggregate analytics data is kept for up to 24 months. You can ask for deletion at any time.
Your rights
Depending on your location (UK, EU, California, and others), you have rights including access, correction, deletion, portability, and the right to object to processing. To exercise any of these, email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working and measure aggregate traffic. The full list is on our cookie policy page. You can change your preferences in the cookie banner at any time.
Children
FMCG HQ is a B2B platform for CPG operators. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
We'll update the “last updated” date when this policy changes. For substantive changes (new data uses, new providers), we'll email cohort one founding brands and newsletter subscribers ahead of time.
